Visit to Holy Island 14th Sept 2018.

A good number of Friends were able to visit Holy Island for a very enjoyable and informative talk and guided tour of current excavations from the Dr David Petts. It was particularly good to hear about the history of the site and the current excavations ‘on the spot’, and we were very fortunate that the weather allowed us ideal conditions to walk round the site. The site was in the last few days of digging for 2018 – details can be found at https://digventures.com/projects/lindisfarne/ and https://digventures.com/lindisfarne
